1981年毕业于西北工业大学材料系，1994年在西安交通大学获博士学位，1996-1997年在日本大阪大学接合科学研究所做博士后工作。2001年起任北京工业大学教授。兼任中国焊接学会力学及结构制造专业委员会委员。获省部级科技进步奖3项，目前承担973国家重大基础研究、北京市自然科学基金等项目。在国内外学术刊物上发表论文50余篇。
